My time as a budding software developer has been spent building applications to solve problems big or small. I'm particularly interested in developing beautiful user experiences people will know and love. I'm also interested in financial technology such as systematic trading systems and blockchain.

iOS Software Engineer Intern @ TikTok
January 2023 - Present
- Optimized the display logic of gifts using Objective-C on TikTok Live’s gifting platform, improving the gift sending rate of less-active users by 10%.
- Developed A/B experiments to optimize the gifting education experience for users, improving consumption rate of users by more than 2%.
- Developed an in-house permission application tool on TikTok’s custom developer platform for 110+ iOS engineers, reducing application time by over 50% and enhancing the developer onboarding experience.
Software Engineer @ Google Developer Student Clubs (NUS)
August 2022 - Present
- Developed an admin portal using Next.js for internal users of Food Bank to manage learning resources and volunteers, improving their outreach and education of food insecurity in Singapore.
- Integrated an existing payments API (Checkout.com) with the system for users to purchase and access courses.
- Performed code reviews for team members, and participated in pair-programming to mutually debug code.
Software Engineer Intern @ GIC Private Limited
May 2022 - October 2022
- Developed and integrated a suite of trade recovery tools which reduced the time required for administrators to perform trade recoveries from 20+ min to 2 min.
- Built a business intelligence dashboard which successfully aggregated 5000+ daily trades into charts and tables which aid portfolio managers in making better business decisions.
- Built a reusable UI library that sped up the process of building professional internal web apps by 2x.
- Designed and documented department's micro-frontend architecture, successfully decoupling codebases and enabling independent development and deployment of micro apps.
- Reduced time taken for the technology team to identify and rectify erroneous orders through analysis of trends on the dashboard.

Information Systems Capstone Project
iORA Integrated Enterprise System
An enterprise system designed to digitise and streamline iORA Fashion's Enterprise Resource Planning, Point-of-Sales and Customer Relationship Management sytems.
- Features a database that synchronises client and inventory information across all of iORA's systems.
- User roles and authentication ensures a secure and permission-based access to various functions on the system.
- Previously spreadsheet-based functions such as stock-level monitoring and procurement were converted into a user-friendly web application.
- Business Intelligence dashboard and sales reports provide sales and marketing staff with at-a-glance sales and customer information.

iORA E-commerce System
An e-commerce system that leverages the database built in the new Integrated Enterprise System, providing customers with a seamless experience while shopping on iORA's online store.
- Leverages the common database to provide customers with accurate product and profile data on iORA's online platform.
